If your family member or friend is acting irritated, belligerent, disoriented, he or she may be experiencing key dementia signs that should not go unnoticed.

The condition is a problem that directly affects the brain, namely the part of the brain that deals with memory.

Quite often, a personal with this condition are not even aware of the changes that are going on inside their head, which can only make the problem worse due to extensive frustration and confusion.

If you think a person near to you is showing dementia signs, you should encourage them to immediately see a medical professional to undergo tests that can identify the problem.

Common dementia signs directly involve an individuals ability to remember tasks, names, places, dates, and details.

Usually these signs are brushed off as side effects of growing older and not taken seriouslybut it can be the first notification that the individual is experiencing a problem with his or her memory.

Keep a sense of awareness of your loved ones ability to remember, especially when he or she immediately forgets something.

This condition affects the short term memory, allowing individuals to remember things in their past but unable to do so regarding something they just heard.

It is critical that you keep an eye out for any changes involving an individuals attitude, especially involving his or her memory.

The next step in this progression is changes in the individuals demeanor.

He or she may become quick to anger or become easily frustrated with the simplest tasks.

Also, the individual may experience poor judgment because he or she may forget the task at hand.

For example, an individual may leave a child unattended because he or she forgot about the responsibility.

Furthermore, instruct other family or friends to keep a sense of awareness around the individual in case more signs can be identified.
