Los Angeles in a Weekend

Author: James C
Los Angeles is an incredible city to spend time in and you could easily spend weeks exploring all that it has to offer. Culture, arts, sports, the city has it all. But what if you do not have weeks, what if you only have a weekend. This article will tell you the things that you must see and do if you only have a couple of days to spend in LA.

The first thing you must do when you get to town is check out the Universal Studios Hollywood. Take a tour of old film sets and see the place where movie magic has been made. There are also rides and entertainment for just about every member of the family. It is a must see for sure. Universal Studios will take the better part of your first day in Los Angeles but if you get out before the sun goes down, head over to the J Paul Getty Center. This museum has an extensive collection of art including works by Van Gogh, Cezanne and Monet. These are works that you will never see anywhere else so you need to take advantage of the opportunity. That should wrap up your first day in town. Go have a nice dinner and prepare for tomorrow.

Chinatown is the next place that you need to visit. In this colorful neighborhood you will find dozens of specialty Chinese stores and restaurants. Spend the afternoon in Chinatown taking in the culture. After Chinatown, you should check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This is one of those things you just must be able to say you did. See the tribute to thousands of stars who have made an impact on Hollywood. If you have any time left, check out the Farmers market or just spend some time touring the streets of this incredible city.

That is probably all the time that you will have. You will in no way have experienced everything that this city has to offer but you will get a good taste for the city. After this weekend, I'm sure you will not be able to resist the urge to come back again and again.
